Course Licensing & Attribution

How MentorLevel Licenses Content
MentorLevel does not create the courses on its platform. We curate, license, and surface courses created by expert instructors and content owners. We operate under one of three relationship types:
- Licensed: We hold a formal content licensing agreement with the instructor. We pay a revenue share (specified per-instructor) and have the right to distribute their course to MentorLevel members.
- Affiliate: We operate an affiliate revenue-sharing arrangement. When a member accesses or purchases a course, a revenue share is paid to the instructor.
- Partner: A strategic exclusive partnership for premium content. Terms are negotiated individually.
Every course on MentorLevel displays a license attribution notice on its course page. This notice identifies the instructor, the relationship type, and the fact that intellectual property remains with the original creator.
Course Attribution
We are committed to transparency about content origin. Each course page includes an attribution notice such as:
"This course is licensed from [Instructor Name] under a content licensing agreement. [Instructor Name] retains full intellectual property rights."
Instructor profiles on MentorLevel include a relationship disclosure explaining the nature of our arrangement with them.
Instructor Rights
Instructors retain full ownership of their intellectual property. MentorLevel does not claim ownership of any course content. Our agreements grant us a license to distribute content to our members — nothing more.
Instructors may withdraw from our platform with appropriate notice as specified in their individual agreements. Upon withdrawal, their content will be removed from the platform and users will be notified.
Redistribution, downloading, or re-uploading of any course content by members is strictly prohibited. Content is licensed for personal viewing only.
